About

Dorinda Galbraith Physical Therapy was established in 1994 initially practicing throughout Massachusetts and currently practicing in the Boston area and Greenville, ME by appointment only. I am a member of The International Association of Healthcare Practitioners. CLICK HERE to view my profile.

I have over 43 years of experience in holistic manual therapy.  One of my greatest skills is integrating healing techniques that help free the physical  and emotional bodies from restrictions.  This helps relieve pain that may have sources in physical, mental, or emotional sources or any combination of these. My treatments are gentle hands on sessions  and I use a variety of assessments to determine how to most efficiently address the patient’s restrictions to provide the most relief and the most optimal health.

The person has an accumulation of “traumas” that  stored in the physical tissue which the body learns to compensate around, but at an expense. When the body runs out of areas to compensate, symptoms start showing up. These symptoms might not be located where the major stored traumas are. By using a whole body approach to assessing, I help locate the more important restrictions that the body is working around. Freeing these are much more efficient and lasting for the patient than chasing the last symptom. Often when someone is treated and the symptom keeps coming back, the primary restriction hasn’t been found and/or there is also emotional or mental trauma stored in the physical tissues that needs to be freed before the tissues can heal.

The skills I have learned and practiced for many years can help free these. My medical background as a Physical Therapist also allows me to integrate conventional physical therapy with a holistic manual therapy approach.  I treat all ages and most conditions. Treatment is done one on one in a private room. Loose clothing is preferred.
